Not every game has to be for every person. I really loved the game's aesthetic going in, but I was almost instantly turned off by the ham-fisted writing. Really didn't enjoy the puzzles, whose slow and patient layouts (though well put together!) felt at odds with the chaotic universe they were placed in. The game also hits you with a no-setup, no-explanation jump scare right out of early internet flash sites when you're walking on the world map, and I personally find jump scares to be the lowest form of horror. That was honestly the beginning of me no longer playing this game, if I look back at my short time with it.
If you like the way it looks on this page, I do suggest you give it a try, because it has a /fantastic/ look and feel. It just fell way short of what I thought it would be.
