I generally liked this game. As a criticism there were a few narrative moments and character decisions that seemed contradictory, but ultimately it has the feel of an early 2000's monster movie (affectionate) with a romance plot. The artwork is well done, and the investigation segments are a neat idea that really adds a bit of flavor that I honestly want more of. The fact this is a game jam game does show at a couple points, see previously mentioned character actions and words being incongruous, but there are some real nuggets of great storytelling points in there. Without spoiling, an easy example would be the pocket knife. It felt random and off-handed until it looped back around and made sooooooooooo much more sense. I had a great time reading this with my boyfriend, and resonated deeply with Terry. Hell I explicitly grabbed my boyfriend to read it with me so I could record us and post it onto my own youtube channel. It's worth a read and honestly if this is what the author pushes out in a game jam I cannot wait to see what else they come up with in the future.
