That was a good boss rush game. This was the Portrait Prophecies work I remembered most clearly from 5ish years ago and I was looking forward to getting to it again. I plan to replay it at least once since I feel I may have missed a secret or two and I just enjoyed the gameplay. At first the controls for the gun felt a little clunky but I quickly got used to them and I think they work to make the game feel a bit more frantic. The creepy tone held well throughout. I liked how it felt somewhat ambiguous as to whether there was anything supernatural going on or if the monsters were all in the protagonists head and they were just going on a normal murderous rampage. I did think the ending with the only person at the office truly profiting off of the exploitation being safe from the violence was well done. I felt the bosses were generally well balanced. The phone headed boss's projectile attack hit multiple times in a way that didn't quite feel fair while the pantry boss's attacks were slow enough that I could just ignore them, stay in one spot, and keep firing until I won; those two fights were definitely the exceptions though and I thought the fights were mostly great.
