polaroidjack rated Game About Botting in an MMORPG

A browser game made in HTML5.

Amazing game! Some random feedback:

  • I love how interconnected the world feels. The town could easily be bigger to support this with more exits. It could do with some more services: bank, character shared bank, healer, some gambling or reroll mechanic, more fast travel / portal stuff to further areas.
  • Salvaging and upgrade improvements, like upgrading equipped items, refund on mats when salvaging upgraded items. Also lower tier shards lose their value after a while. Maybe higher level upgrades should require some lower level shards? Or upgrade shards? 10x common -> 1x uncommon.
  • Later feature to autosalvage items on the go?
  • Inventory space as a stat feels wrong. It would feel better to unlock them with gold, from a bag vendor. Or maybe a mix of stats and gold.
  • Carryover bonuses of other classes? Eg. if you have a lvl 60 mage, then all alts get some % xp bonus, a hunter grants some % dmg, etc. Or a full on multibox/party system, but that sounds way more effort than it's worth.
  • More content obviously, more lvls, areas, more things to grind, more quests, more classes. Reputation, more currencies, anything else to grind. The fundamentals are very solid already.
  • More class variety? There is a pattern now, but don't be afraid to make some good at AoE, some to only have single target, etc. I think you can easily expect players to play all your classes, and not choose and commit as in a regular MMO.
  • Alternate font in settings, like an Inter or something easier to read.
  • Some more flavor for PK dialog. Or rethink the whole PK system, as it's now only a cash gate for full AFK automation.
  • Bot to return to town and salvage or sell automatically? Teleporter to work both ways, like in Diablo?
