I wanted to give this game a shot since I've seen it's been blowing up a lot. I'm very skeptical of games that get too hyped up for the wrong reason but i curious. At first, to me a yandere clown theme game sounded unusual but it sounds unique and I was glad I got to experience it.
Like everyone has been saying, it's very well-written. I can see how much effort and thinking process was put into this. I was a bit surprised there's animations and not just CGs. It actually runs very smoothly.
The lore is very interesting because it pushes past the typical otome game into something with more dimension to the characters and their backstory that shaped them the way they are and not for convenience to hit on the mc.
I love the choice in carnival music because it adds to uncanny atmosphere that something is off, but it's too theatrical to ignore.
The little Portuguese trivia is a cool choice to the game's setting too since recently I've been interested thanks to a friend who's Brazilian so it's nice to see some diversity.
The writing and pacing is really good and not rushed. I like how you know there's more underneath the masks and it makes you more curious to find out but at a cost.
Making Pierrot to not be the cliche monster that is loud, obnoxious, and grotesque is a very interesting diversion. I thought he was going to be at first, but his silent nature that hides something sinister and his cute mannerisms add natural charm to him which makes it hard not to feel bad lol.
For only having day two out, it has so much potential and I hope to support the team/you in other ways I can! 😊
