Not a fan of the first couple of pictures as backgrounds, it would be so much better if there was one background instead of changing them with every sentence (in my opinion). The background in the main room is alright.
Also, the option to examine the belongings and room doesn't really set the scene well - sentences are short and I feel like they don't describe the vibe of the room itself. I'm wondering if there will be more about the items or if they're unimportant to the story (except the puppet). When you click the option to examine the drawer it says: "Inside are books. Many books. You close the drawer." I think it's not written very well. Perhaps describing those books could help, or getting rid of the drawer monologue all together.
Up until this point in the game, I wasn't hooked and didn't have hopes for the story; however, as soon as the Red Jester came in, it got interesting. I look forward to uncovering the secrets, especially the story behind what happened to the previous Jester and why the Red Jester wants to protect us (or has to). I think the Red Jester's character is written well for now, and the visual is very good as well.
I hope this review doesn't bring you down, but gives you motivation for perfecting the game. It does have potential and I can't wait to see what you do with it.
Have a good dayy :)
