An FVN (said very generously) made by a person who hates FVN creators. This...thing sets up a manifesto that claims to be ascendent beyond all art like it's the "Can You Hear the Music" montage from Oppenheimer, but it really comes across as unhinged (and I'm not talking about the cool, irreverent type of unhinged; I'm talking like, causing concerns for one's well-being unhinged). Worsening this is the whole "special thanks" segment; it reads less like acknowledgements and more like a page of a Death Note.
There's set up for a story, but it captures the feeling of that novel you wanted to write in high school and wrote like 3 pages max before abandoning it. Because we get the basic synopsis and then it just ends. Like, mid-conversation, the VN just ends. There's no arc, it's entirely incoherent. Add to that a single sprite that looks like a furry Deadite and...ahem, stolen assets, and you've got a haphazardly thrown together self-centered mess that would make Uwe Boll blush.
I don't like being overly negative about FVNs, but considering this author's history and personality, I feel like this was just asking for it. I support FVN creators, but they at the very least need to know how to build a basic story structure...and, y'know, not antagonize others in the FVN space.
To the author, I ask you this, and I mean it genuinely: Are you okay? And also: please remove my name from the dedications/Death Note page, thank you.
And to anyone who may stumble upon this review: don't read this, not even out of curiosity.
