the fact that I played this game for almost 6 hours straight, multiple attempts to end up getting to gate danger level 18, should be telling that this is a very successful homage to the Vampire Survivors/bullet heaven genre and game play. The TF themes are appreciated and the changing player character sprite according to the selected power ups is a nice touch.

However, efficiently addictive game play aside, scaling, balancing of stats, upgrades and progression seem rather skewed in favor of certain power ups and transformations, and upgrades show extreme diminishing returns or flat-out irrelevance at a certain point. The difference in exp pickup values not being obvious on their value could make players not realize larger enemies also give more experience, power up selections can be duplicated, making it more difficult to try to chase a certain tactic or build, no way to reroll level up power up selection or remove previous power ups, power up upgrade selections sometimes having stats that don't (appear) to do anything relating to the nature of the ability. Many small things can make the process still feel pretty unfinished. But if this game gets updated, or even finished in the developer's eye I would definitely come back to dump another couple hours into it.
