This game hits all the notes of an old-school racing game. Except for the lack of map, those were always integral to that type of game. The game really felt like it was all about speed and figuring out the tight corners so that you could overtake your competition. What initially confused me was the nitro meter. I was it was some other speedometer or whatever and not a nitro gas. Those almost always look like gas bottles and the break of tradition threw me off.
