sea noodle rated FaeTrap (DEMO)

sea noodle rated a game 41 days ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

I went for this game because I saw a spicy YouTuber making a spicy video about Nyxia. And now, I think it was really unfair they portrayed this game in such a shallow way..

This game is a rare masterpiece, deep, emotional, personal, and psychologically intricate.

This was done in such a detailed and careful way, that can only be explained by a deep passion for the work itself, like a painting done for oneself, despite that, it is not a vulnerable work, it is not a vulnerable story, it's very strong. And the message is even stronger.

I could never call this an otome game, or suspense, or psychological, or mystery, or a romance game, because any tag would feel lacking and incomplete to describe this "game". I can't even call it a "game" because of its abyssal obscure nature.

I'm bereft of words, I can not explain the feelings I'm left with. Nor how this work made me feel things only a book like an obscure classic like metamorphosis or no longer human, and others.

The soundtrack is also very fitting. The writing is.. sorry for the lack of better words, but, amazing. And the story itself.. the characters are good, but the way they were written and how the effects and the eyes moved, everything else, was even better. Actually the way the eyes and facial expressions, the way the pacing was so perfect and how much work it must have been, it all reminds me of how games by indie authors used to be.

I couldn't help but feel this was a work of many, many hours, I dare say it might have taken a long time..? It probably did. And It was worth it.

To anyone reading this review, please, please play this game, and if you can, please leave a donation to this creator. I don't get money easily, but I want to support this kind of game, I want to support creators like this. I want this to gain the reach it deserves, and to inspire more creators to be like this. Because nowadays games are filled with creators with the mindset of making money, instead of creating art, instead of creating something meaningful, something deep that will touch others. And this is it.
