I am very happy to see that this game is now available on itch.io despite it originally being a Steam exclusive. The game offers a fresh, roguelite take on the traditional danmaku formula, allowing you to swap out attacks and special effects mid-run. This modular system provides a significant amount of depth, with over three hundred items to experiment with and four distinct playable characters to master.

Visually, the title carries a distinct retro charm that fits an anime aesthetic perfectly, though it is notoriously intense. As usual, the screen often becomes a crowded sea of projectiles and vibrant colors, which can lead to some visibility challenges during high-level play. However, the presentation is bolstered by an incredible soundtrack that blends jazz, heavy metal, and electronic beats, creating an energetic backdrop for the gameplay.

One of the standout features is the sheer variety in how a run can end, boasting sixty unique endings that keep the experience lighthearted, even in defeat. While the difficulty curve is steep, even with the lower settings throwing significant amounts of projectiles in your way, the inclusion of persistent unlockable content and numerous challenges ensures there is always a reason to dive back in.
