After playing the first Shelfwatcher game, I knew I had to jump right into the second (I even put both games in one video I did for YouTube, as that made the most sense).
Overall, the loose sequel feels like it expands upon the idea of the first game and adds more to it. I do like how the game still sticks with the PS1 graphics, but the main environment where most of the action takes place is bigger, and there's even some lore/backstory you can find in the game through notes, which I do really like. The Elf on the Shelf is still just as creepy as ever, maybe even a bit more so compared to the original. One con I would say is that the game felt a bit too dark at times, and it would've been nice if there were a brightness option in the settings. But overall, it didn't take away too much from any enjoyment I had.
I'll be very curious to see if another game gets made and the Shelfwatcher ends up returning for some more mischief and horror. So far, these games have been enjoyable, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
