This was a lovely short glimpse into a moment of incredibly pain and difficulty. I enjoyed it a lot. The art was lovely, and the central story of preparing to hunt, and dealing with the consequences of it, was affecting. I wish that perhaps we'd gotten a little more of a 'voice' from the main character- he tells us he's angry at points, but it feels clinical, very much like he is recounting it years later, whereas it would have been good to know what that rage feels like more viscerally whilst we were in his 'head', for example; and some of the transitions were quite abrupt, just a few pauses to breathe would have been appreciated. Still, this was an excellent Novembuck entry!
