One of the only games that I could think of that has given me a hard time in finding flaws. The story, the gameplay, the H-Scenes, and the designs of everything has literally blown me away.
Loved where the story is going and how it is developing. From the systems the goddesses are into the mystery behind the player and Ryoko's parents. I am excited to see what the Queen has in store for the story and our characters. The only time that I was engaged in a Renpy story was From the Sin and Electric Sheep. Tying the story progression to the character relationship was also smart, as it incentivizes the girls a lot.
The writing of the characters is great. Loved Mayu and Shika as a character, they are humorous and adore them. You did great job ensuring that Ryoko is adoring and lovable. And, well, I just realized that each of the characters are unique in how they utilized their archetypes. The only problem that I have is how the MC progressed from a depressed teen to an unintentionally horny guy trying to make the most of his life. His behavior in the H-Scenes was kind of jarring when recalling the opening, hopefully that could be remedied or explained. Overall, great, with a bit of a hiccup with the MC. Other than that, loved the writing.
The gameplay was alright. Given that creating functional game mechanics with Renpy is difficult, I find it serviceable to have Fishing, Logging, and QTE's to fill the void of engagement. No complaints here.
The H-Scenes were phenomenal. Loved the models and the physics embedded within them. The positions chosen and camera angles used only highlighted the qualities and hotness of the girls. Even when I recognized the engine that powered them, I still loved the way H-Scenes available.
Finally, the designs. I already touched on this a bit in the H-Scenes bit, but it is well-done. The girls are unique, the environment well modeled, and settlements being well-designed are a huge bonus. The only problems here are how the realistic environments kind of make the contrast between it and the characters a bit jarring.
This was a lengthy review, but I never found a game like this that I could just gush about how good it is. The only thing that came close to it is Electric Sheep and another game from Steam. Keep up the good work, Ncrow, I shall be watching your career with great interest.
