Quite good! The dramedy is expertly balanced, the 6000 or so words feel both substantial and sharp in their pacing, and some excellent dialogue does a lot to paint convincing character portraits. Presentation-wise, things come off as purposefully minimalistic, especially how the ambience-only audio refuses to clarify or underscore the emotions in how each date progresses.
I really like the conversational narrative voice, which has a lot of personality to it – it's a great tic to have the protagonist interject with self-conscious, slightly defensive commentary. It effectively characterizes him as someone who is concerned with how his actions and words are interpreted, not to mention simply adding an enjoyable rhythm to the narration. A lot of writers working in this medium don't make a lot of use of devices like this, so they're always fun to see in action.
The VN does feel a bit writing exercise-esque, though not in a wholly negative sense – if we choose to read it that way, the exercise does yield results. But there is maybe a slight sense of "what you see is what you get" here; I think the premise is maybe ultimately more exciting than where it leads, and the structure comes off as functional scaffolding. That being said, I do feel like the story lands on a poignant note about the ambivalencies of dating. The contrast between the opening line ("I think this place is cursed.") alluding to the repetition of bad dates and the ultimate encounter being something of a miraculous stroke of luck works, and the protagonist's brief character arc is compelling.
