This is a really charming game!! The environmental design, the visuals, the gameplay and the music all meld together to make an incredibly fun experience!! I love the feeling of movement - I ended up spending an hour just running around the place to see where I could get to, which was fun in and of itself.
I also really like how the throwing felt, and how the progress was both visually represented by the slime mama growing large and the meter - without a tutorial, I knew what my objective was, how to achieve it, and what my limits were. It's a very intuitive game!
Idk if feedback is super wanted, esp on game jam games, so sorry if this is not merited? But two things that I think could be improved:
- There really didn't seem to have much incentive to explore the environment, esp with the time limit and how abundant the starting areas are. I really enjoyed exploring the world after I beat the game, it's just a bit of a shame that it didn't mesh with the objective super well.
- The points each food gives blends on the slime meter and makes it really hard to notice - I didn't realise it was there until my second playthrough.
