A fun, indulgent romp at first, but there's a lot of meat to this story. On top of the memorable cast and a world that's just so enjoyable to get lost in, the story explores feelings and experiences close to my heart (especially as a gay guy in a long distance relationship) that I've never really seen anything else dive into, at least never in such an affecting way. The political drama doesn't always work, but that emotional core is compelling the whole way through. And even if it doesn't move you as much as it moved me, you'll probably have a lot of fun anyway.
