Loved the game. Like the first, the aesthetic is on point: absolutely beautiful. And unlike the first, this one had way more sense of progression with the objective pop-up mechanic.
I have no critiques at all, I loved it. I also love that you seemed to have taken the feedback from the first game and used that to make this one even better. It felt way more accessible than the first, and there was a greater sense of direction.
Another improvement is the art. While the first one is beautiful, don't get me wrong, it had weird stretched textures. I guess you could argue that it's 'a part of the retro aesthetic', so this might just be an improvement for myself, but the crispier textures in this game are way nicer.
The mushrooms guiding you by sound is also a very cool mechanic, and the sound used fits the aesthetic of the game perfectly.
