I played the last older version of this dragon visual novel, and I enjoyed it. The writing is good. The backgrounds are phenomenal. It's by far the best dragon visual novel I ever played. Anyone telling you otherwise is lying. 

I played Perihelion and Angels with Scaly Wings and Heralds of the Avirentes. Angels is close second compared to roses. I like Perihelion too, but there's something about the backgrounds in roses that makes it better.
