FallenArcadia rated Dark Cards of Candlewood

A browser game made in HTML5.

I think that this game has a lot of potential! Obviously it is still early in development, but the vision is certainly there, and what is in the game so far is quite nice!

The main reason I gave this a 4/5 stars is mostly due to the gameplay being focused on 2 main things in combat: Energy, and Links. The mechanics are a lot of fun, but I happened to notice that Links with Low/No Energy cost far out-performed any other strategy.

This is to basically say that a low energy link deck seems to trivialize the game, and could probably use some nerfs. It's hard to properly explain without showing gameplay, but a lot of cards have the start/link effect and if you make your entire deck like that with low energy, you would be shocked at the sheer output you can do in a single turn.

Moving onto the rest of the game though, the art is simply gorgeous, the gameplay is quite fun, and the progression system feels very satisfying!
