I will say that I'm usually "That Guy" when it comes to weapons. I know just enough about guns to recognize them on sight and get disappointed when they fail to meet the expectations of their pedigree. Particularly rocket launchers, but rotary guns, shotguns, and assault rifles also tend to fall short of my standards.
This isn't a sign that the designers are failing. I'm sure Team Fortress 2 would suck if I was balancing the weapons "my way," and there is no accounting for aesthetic preference, so when I say something, I expect it to be taken with a grain of salt.
That said, this mod manages to be incredibly fun AND tickles my aesthetic sensibilities! Bullets are shared between two weapons that share a caliber, history, and sense of utter satisfaction when using, the trenchgun is all of the glory of a good combat shotgun and the super shotgun replacement feels both powerful and janky enough as a concept that it winding up in a museum feels quite realistic, but still fun to break out!
And the replacements for the chainsaw, rocket launcher, and plasma weapons? Perfect. The easiest way to make me shut up and enjoy something is to just say, "It's magic, I don't gotta explain shit," and when you take that basic concept and combine it with a game feel, design, and aesthetic that is this good... man, you have my respect and adoration.
