A brutally honest, sad yet optimistic zine about sexual trauma, exploitation, survival and excavating buried rot. Lovely art, and well-written. I connected with it a lot, especially the descriptions of being 16 and not knowing how to assert your desires or lack thereof. I think queer and trans people will connect with it on a deeper level.
I'll be thinking about this one for a while, especially this quote:
"Nothing that you bury stays dead, it just decomposes and becomes more and more ingrained into what makes you, you."
Green and growing life-giving things can grow out of decomposition. Fungus, microbes, all kinds of things prosper among rot. I hope the same for all of us
