The presentation of the sprites, background art, and UI are genuinely impressive, and not just for an indie team. If this game had decent, even subpar writing, I would give it at least double this score. However, when there are three or more incongruities in most sentences, whether it is grammatical errors or unfocused rambling without a clear point being made, it is time for either a redraft or an overhaul of the writing room.

This is a fantastic case of effort not equaling execution. As a fellow indie game developer working on a similar type of game, I applaud the effort. Just the fact that you managed to finish and release the game alone is worth praise. But the failure to execute in the writing and directing fields make for an infuriating playthrough.

I am afflicted with a disease that makes me unable to stand media with severe writing flaws. If anyone can find enjoyment where I can't, you're stronger than I am. Once again, congratulations on making your brain child a reality. I just can't see past the glare of the proverbial sun to look at the pretty scenery.
