I've been playing Chronomutants for a bit over a year now and its consistently one of the most fun games I've ever played. I say this as somebody who's primary TTRPG before Chronomutants was D&D and Pathfinder. After? Now I play an ever-increasing amount of awesome indie games that are way more fun and way less work, including continuing to play and enjoy Chronomutants on a regular basis.
This game makes me hate D&D for never telling the party 'yes and'. This game makes me hate D&D for trying to fit whatever character I have in my head into its generic fantasy classes. This game makes me hate D&D for charging me $49.99 for DLC to unlock remakes of prestige classes and settings that have been around for decades which somehow /still/ feels like jamming my ideas into ill-fitting molds. I don't think there's much going back at this point. Thanks, Gary, you've ruined D&D for me, and I've never been happier. 71/5 stars.
