I'm a sucker for vampires, so when I heard there was a vampire vn in this jam, I knew right away I had to play it first. I'm so glad I did because. Wow. This was fantastic. The visuals are striking and melt with the jam's sprites effortlessly. The limited color palette of the backgrounds add to the bloody and grimy mood of the text. The bright red silhouette in the bus background is a small but wonderful touch, too.

The prose flows so well, from brusque and staccato to a flowy stream-of-consciousness. The text knows when to slow down and take a breather, and when to run full speed ahead, unafraid to make the reader feel uncomfortable. The flipping between ADV and NVL mode is a great stylistic choice as well. The primal and carnivorous descriptions of the gore are such a nice change of pace from the usual tone of vampire stories, and really helps make the story its own. The story ends exactly where it needs to, wrapping up the story so nicely. I love the bittersweetness of the final sentences, this was such a treat to read!
