LAS is a very charming and short visual novel. I appreciated that it had very simple and straightforward routes to the two different endings - both of which were highly enjoyable and tragic. I especially liked all the comparisons between humans and machines; predestined fate vs free will, the contrasting desires of one's purpose vs one's own innate wishes... It was all very entertaining.
The artwork is very appealing and the sprite animations weren't overdone. I also liked how the 'glitch' visuals/effects were more on the toned down side compared to some other games. Yet they were utilized well, especially during the first ending. The soundtrack also contributed greatly to each scene by helping to provide an almost 'empty' environment, one that would not distract the viewer from the screen.
My one very minor complaint is that the text in the "History" menu is very spaced apart to the point where you can barely fit 2~3 lines of dialogue on the screen at a time. It is a little cumbersome having to scroll so much to re-read, but it is by no means a significant issue.
LAS in general conveys a beautiful kind of love, both from Yuuna and Ai. Although the experience was short, I greatly enjoyed reading through their story. I look forward to seeing more of LilyByte's works!
