The art in this is great, i love the prose and the characters are very interesting. I know the lack of sprites was a constraint of time, but it honestly creates a specific Feel to the game to me that is accentuated by the music. I don't know exactly what that Feel is, but it's something that makes the world feel more insular I think. You don't get to watch the characters actually slide off the screen, they feel more Real when they're just represented in the CGs instead. It also fits that out of all of them, Nomi has the most CGs where she's in the same position. It makes her feel even more stationary, while still being alive, than a sprite would have. And the menu music keeps randomly playing in my brain every time I think of this game.
I honestly really like how sketchy the artwork is in the outdoors routes, because it really feeds into the feeling like the world is coming apart from how it's supposed to be.
