The graphics are seriously a GREAT throwback to old-school point-and-click games. <Warning from here on is spoilers>
The atmosphere, characters, and general story were enticing and kept me engaged until I started to hit way too many roadblocks. Right in the beginning, it was confusing as to what sort of experiment was being conducted and I ended up clicking on everything to figure out what to do next. The next big roadblock was escaping the room using the shrink ray. With it being the beginning of the game, it could benefit from some guides or hints in either visuals or dialogue. The final frustrating block was figuring out the objective after the bad guys showed up. I went in every unlocked area, clicked all over, got a few random items, and eventually was met with another confusing and poorly explained plot point, the robot. At this point, I had spent a large chunk of time on the game mostly wandering and confused about what to do, and I was live so I quit to switch games. I really would have loved to keep playing and exploring, but I really would encourage more guides or hints during gameplay. If the game is updated to include such, I would gladly try to play again.
