I absolutely loved Gelus and I finally got around to playing Pario, and I'm obsessed with this shift in tone and story! You've definitely created this amazing high fantasy world that feels engaging, magical, and alive. Just like Heimos, I'm obsessed with these LIs, especially their dynamic and the symbolism of it (the mercurial Creator and the destructive Created). I love how in Gelus, they're surrounded by icy wasteland and the hopelessness of the cold frost, while in here it explores the inherent hostility of life. In Sacrarium Pario, EVERYTHING is alive, in various degrees of pain and madness, presided over by caretakers that aren't much different. I'm definitely going to be following this to the end!!
I rate Pario five stars, of course, but I do have to note that one of the things that gave me a problem getting through it is figuring out and remembering the lore, especially since I don't remember everything in Gelus off the bat. While I do think it's wonderful that the protagonist in the story is a local and is already immersed in the world, I, as a reader, do have a hard time distinguishing what lore is meant to be a mystery that will be revealed later, and what lore is stuff the MC already knows that I forgot about/wasn't elaborated on at all.
Feel free to discard this suggestion bc I know it's a lot of work, but I think the Sacrarium series will benefit greatly from a codex, either built into the games or a downloadable pdf, something like at the end of Tolkien fantasy books or codex entries in the Dragon Age games. Basically just stuff the player SHOULD know going in.
