very short, not a lot of content, no side stories etc. Antons route is shit, and he was my man so I'm very emotional about that. Don't buy.

Like the writing is good but the characterisation is sooooooooooo bad and the pacing is off.

The reason why I'm mouring Anton's route is because so much more could have been done.

Yes Lillian is pretty but not Mary Sue pretty that she can get out of jail, after being a spy, by giving a supposedly non-corrupt officer a kiss on the cheek. LIKE BFFR.

Maybe I'm pissed off because (flexing ngl hehehe) I studied Post WW1 and Pre WW2 Germany. And I understand the people mourned for the lost of their empire/kingdom. I know how the soldiers who fought in WW1 felt after Article 159-163 of the Treaty of Versailles reduced the army form 1.9million to 100,000. This changed lives and these ex-soldiers freikorps became lost as their pride for their prospering nation vanished. I know that there were 6 million orphans and 2 million widows. And that after WW1 everything went to shit.

DOLCHTOSS!!!!! I'm upset because the people of Germany genuinely believed in the cause of WW1, and wanted to keep on fighting when the treaty was made. This game underplays the pride and loyalty the people had towards the Kaiser. 

And Anton a military general could not give two shits about the welfare of the country and is willing to risk his position and his country for ginger pum pum. 

Like rahhhhh he's the embodiment if 'rest in peace to all the soldier who died in the service, I died in her cervix.'.

Also back to Lillian this girl has Mary Sue type of pretty likeeee why is Anton a omega simp for her even in Emile's route. Like boy I hoped your wife divorced u because if my husband after I died was simping this hard for his ENEMIE I would be rolling in my grave- actually I would rise out of my grave and beat the simp out of him. 

I was hoping that she would have a mental breakdown in Anton route. Simply because she became a spy for funsies and when that went to shit she's kidnapped by yes a handsome guy but... yes still kidnapped. The man who she thought was completely separate from all this drama to then see him shoot a man dead and was actually manipulating her THE WHOLE TIME, (the 'self-proclaimed' master manipulator -as she was so sure of her skills in the beginning-). I think I would have a mental breakdown, because as a woman in that situation I would be thinking ' oh is this man gonna rape me' etc etc.

Also Lillian didn't come from a life where she had to deal with these sorts of stakes. So I think the realisation would have to hit her hard. 

Idk this game focuses on being realistic with the historical accuracy and the bittersweet endings, so this route just didn't make any sense to me.

But also looking back I'm just appreciating Emile's route more he's written so well. His chemistry with Lillian is sooooo good and he's a character... that makes sense. 

He comes from a troubled background and therefore was kinda embarrassed when Lillian comes into the pub dressed like a princess. 'Like I'm stuck with this rich girl who probs thinks I'm a stinky rat.... doesn't help that she's really pretty'. So he's puts his guard up, as he's assuming that she thinks the worst of him. 

Which is somewhat true, as Lillian does doubt his ability as a spy but she doesn't judge him for his class. 

Lillian's doubt in Emile climaxes when she pulls up the fake American accent. And Emile is soooo embarrassed that she did that, 'like this girl really doesn't trust me'.

But they're misunderstanding is fixed when they talk about their problem and they reach a good conclusion.

Like this characterisation makes sense to me.

Anton sacrificing his military rank for ginger pum pum... doesn't, like he only doesn't throw Lillian in jail because he's attracted to her AFTER KNOWING HER FOR LIKE 2 DAYS IHG;OIVSNXIGVNSUGHLNDUGIHV. 

Like at least reveal that she looks like his dead ex wife. So everything makes sense.

That being said I would def play any other games that u guys make and although I have been harsh I think you guys need to consider this. To improve on your writing.

However I'm actually gonna write down the things I liked about the game. Just for u guys to understand that I genuinely liked the game, other than ANTON.

I liked the artstyle and the fact that everyone gets a sprite.

I liked the music

I liked how the writing was very scenic, it feels nostalgic looking back on what happened. The happiness shared in those simple moments.... Yeah I really do love that, far more than what I can express.
