The aesthetic and tone are immediately evocative and captivating, and everything from the crunchy square wave sound design, to the all-enveloping blackout visuals that somehow remain very readable work in service to a wonderfully bleak atmosphere. The combat took a second to get used to, but after a few runs it all started to come together. The Psychic became my favorite of the three once I understood how the barrier actually charged/discharged MP, and was able to chain some nasty combos. The Artist is also quite good, I really like being able to push my luck with Rage and continuously build into more of a glass cannon. They also feel very thematically cohesive, which is tough to pull off. Good stuff my dude! Now send me the boss theme.
