This well-recommended solo TTRPG lived up to its reputation.
Like many other solo TTRPGs, it has a prompt associated with a standard 52-card deck, and you create a story based on those prompts and a few other things.
And that could be it. But there are three optional elements that skyrocket this game ahead of similar ones: a custom soundtrack, use of a Jenga-style tower, and a microphone.
The ambient soundtrack (included with the game here on Itch) adds to the atmosphere and is good enough to listen to even when not playing, as I am now. The Jenga-tower could be replaced with a dice system, but shouldn't be: it is a great metaphor for the ship falling apart. But what really sold the experience to me is the game encourages you to record your story over a microphone, rather than (say) writing it out in a journal. While I like writing as a way to experience TTRPGs, speaking out loud and actually acting makes this feel like a truly robust experience.
