if i'm being completely honest, this game is incredibly dull and horribly balanced. the only reason i'm not giving it a one star is due to the fact i think that the dev can genuinely learn and do better.
every enemy has the same set of animations and take way too many bullets to go down to feel satisfying, the guns have a terrible delay between firing and as such don't feel good to fire, your movement feels somewhat arcade-ey, yet restricted enough to make it hard to traverse ingame terrain. all of the enemies feel randomly placed throughout the map, with no real cohesion.
the game just feels like it was sloppily thrown together and it doesn't work in a way that feels good to play. my recommendations to the dev are:
-to fix up the gun code (i've used my fair share of unity, i can assume this is due to a time delay in the code, but it needs to be shortened significantly).
- get more variety in animation (blender is a bit complicated, but once you get the hang of it you can do some great stuff with it), and give the enemies more variety and complexity (give them less HP, maybe some pain animations, they feel very flat).
-redesign the level and enemies to fit in it. i can tell that the environment and enemy placement are done separately, as it feels like the movement in the game doesn't fit the tight, closed houses and streets. not only that, but the enemies feel randomly placed and it honestly led to me dying several times at the beginning of the game.
if you read this, alessandro, i don't think you're a bad game designer. but this game needs a lot of work. you have a lot of potential, but i think you need to really rework the weapons and enemies in this game in particular. the game just doesn't feel fun.
