Linky439 rated Psycutlery

A downloadable game for Windows.

What a great start for 2024! The much anticipated sequel-in-spirit to Psycho Waluigi delivers in pretty much every aspect, with dozens of hours of gameplay in a first playthrough (and that is without doing the alternate route that opens once you complete the game a first time!)

Psycutlery is all in enjoy in my platformers, with stages and gimmick that keeps on evolving and have time to grow over the course of multiple levels. There are fresh ideas everywhere, and the game is packed with content (50 main stages + 50 B-sides to them, and then there's post-game stuff!) and charm. The universe is silly in the best cartoonish way possible, with giant berry enemies, huge watermelon blocks for your character to eat and even a rainbow unicorn.

The music is fantastic as well, with even some clever variations to fit the mood of the current stage (for instance whenever you dive deep underwater).

My only minor complains would be about some over-talkative moments (even though you can skip most of them) even if some dialogs and characters are quite funny, and I would recommend players not to try to 100% the game right away as the B-sides stages are variations of the main level and it can get a little repetitive once you do that 50 times! But it is really nitpicking as I loved pretty much every second of the game!

In short, Psycutlery is super generous and is a must-play for any platformer lover. It would have been worth a 15-20$ tag price for sure. Keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait to see where the whole team is going from here!
