Virus the Virtual Vulpine rated Blacksword Chronicles IGMC 2015

A downloadable game for Windows.

This game is so well done! Especially for an RPG Maker game. Very neat battle system that kept me (and my ADHD haha) really engaged, but wasn't too drawn out. The different difficulties are VERY well balanced, so it'll suit whatever level you prefer (whether you like to chill and enjoy the story more, or you're more the type to enjoy a more battle heavy experience, or something in-between). And the story is really cool! I love all the characters, and got so attached to Dust and his journey...

Even finding this game almost 5 years after it's creation, it holds up beautifully! I'm super sad to see no sequels were made. The universe has drawn me in! And I want to know what happens!

(SPOILERS BELOW! Just a warning to those who may be reading who haven't played it yet!)

What happened to Dust's memories? Who is his master? Who is Jurdin Kylor? Is it who I think it is, or someone we've yet to see? Who were the people he killed? And why? How did Dust survive, and how'd he end up in those ruins? How long was he there? What was The Disaster? And the war after that? Does Dust ever go back and tell Skip and Giles about the cauldron he saw? How did Dust get his super cool sword. Is he from that country, or did he travel there to get it? Will he ever get ALL his memories back? And will he like who he was if he does?

(END SPOILERS.)

Anyways! As you can see, I'm a big fan of this game, and I really appreciate all the work and creativity put into its creation! I'll be recommending this one to my friends (well, the ones who I know don't mind cliffhangers anyways! haha). Hopefully when I have a more stable financial situation, I can come back and donate some amount to better show my appreciation (and hopefully encourage a sequel, though since it's been a while I'm calmly resigned to that being a low probability...)

That being said, I hope that someday, even if it may be years from now, a sequel may be put out! Beautiful job, y'all! You've earned every star and then some.
