an improvement as far as story and character creation goes but still suffers from precious writing full of out-of-touch references to memes. Characters are more likeable generally. The game really stumbles politically - some references to leftist ideals, especially in the Green Arrow knockoff character, but overall a fairly muddy sort-of anti-capitalist message marred by a poorly thought out political framework and a poorly fleshed out in-game world. Despite being more inclusive than the first game I still notice a complete lack of explicitly trans women. Not uncommon but still disappointing. Art style still bland if a bit sharper. The story was more engaging but fairly forgettable. Ready Player One for queer people.
