tbh im not a fan of too many fantasy/fairy pieces, it makes it very hard to calculate and you lose the chess vibe. Which i guess is fine if you dont wanna cater to absolute chess players. We're less playing chess and more like trying to cheese the game?
The quality of play requiered to beat the AI is usually pretty low (a depth of two moves ahead) but because it's so hard to calculate you cant even calculate two moves ahead most of the time.
Like you just always hover to the button to check the enemy attack range instead because you can't vizualize. Also it's not very balanced i think, the AI is always scared to trading pieces (except if my piece is literally twice their value), or the Prince apparently the AI thinks it's worth its most important piece?
So if you have all King-like moving units and they just always protect each others you're usually fine.
