Very promising game. It has a great feel to it and I was actually scared of what would come. Great design, great premise, and shows a lot of promise from what the developer may produce in the future. It felt very similar to playing a game by Chilla's Art. (a personal favorite. Was their "Convenience Store" game perhaps an inspiration for this?) I am certainly giving a follow. If there is ever a longer game with a price tag, I'll buy it.
The good part of these types of horror games isn't in the jumpscares, so it's okay to only have one of them. The interesting part of this game was the chilling atmosphere that kept me on edge, wondering when stuff was about to go down. When it happened the first time, it was actually pretty good! I was genuinely dashing for the red circle and when I got caught, it got me good. The bad part was retrying for the second ending. It felt like I just didn't run fast enough or maybe I had to wait for the monster to pass, so I just kept trying to get there. It was a little frustrating. When I figured out the 2nd ending, it wasn't really rewarding either. Really good the first time, but the different endings need a bit more juice to be worth it.
I would also recommend adding more tasks in a game like this one. Take Chilla's Art, for example. Their games are usually full of seemingly harmless tasks, and thats where the true horror lies. The player is terrified not of the monster, but of the atmosphere that contains the monster. Forcing them to do more tasks in that chilling atmosphere is what makes the game memorable. After I get jumpscared once and the monster reveals itself, I'm not really scared of it anymore. Its the threat that matters, not the actual attack.
