Beyond the Harbor r is a beautiful exploration of the mind of abuse victims. It provides much needed representation and a voice for people who have lost their voice in the fight with depression and their abusers.

It shows depression, intrusive thoughts, derealization and unhealthy coping mechanisms in their rawest, most real forms. The way they are portrayed is harrowing. This is because of the simple fact that they may be happening to us or the people close to us.

Abuse victims and their relationships with their abusers are very rarely shown in ways that are both truthful and satisfying, and I am grateful that they are shown this well here.
