I played the prologue and felt a bit middling about this game. I like the concept, and I think it does some interesting things visually and mechanically, but the storytelling is kinda poor and lost me. We get thrown a lot of exposition by the main character in a way that just feels jarring. It feels like someone is talking loudly at me to explain why they're doing what they're doing, but in such an overwrought and dramatic way that I'd prefer a silent protagonist honestly. The revelations of what's happening don't have much of an impact because I barely know the character, and I very little context for the events happening, so it doesn't really land.
There's also some scenes with bright lights and being questioned and/or tortured by the machine which...are just confusing? Maybe they're explained more later on in the story but visually it didn't really work and threw me out of the story for a bit because I was trying to parse visually what was going on.
The game has potential as a first draft, but if the prologue's anything to go by then it definitely needs some more work in the storytelling and pacing department. Also it needs a spellchecker and some subtitles.
