I usually reserve 3 stars for games that aren't quite up to my standards. however, this one is a different story. AfterLife harem is a fantastic game, but it falls short on two points. first, it's not yet complete (totally understandable, and provided the rest to be completed lives up to the standard set here, it'll definitely be worth another star). second, and more concerning, any decent scenes are locked behind a patreon pay wall (also understandable, as Aph is welcome to do what he wishes with his game). but this does raise questions: upon the game's completion, will these scenes be included in the final product? will they be locked behind a 2nd paywall after the final release? 

as a final note, if there were options other than patreon (such as LiL's creator, Selebus's choice to add a one time payment for a year of VIP-style access, or using a different service like SubscribeStar), the paywall wouldn't be so bad. but for the fact that one can buy the game here and still need to pay on patreon without knowing if the final release will contain this content automatically, i cannot in good conscience, give this star. 

beyond these worries, the game is fanastic, and i look forward to seeing how it advances in the future.
