This is an amusing little game where you get to basically fight cards in an order and try to get to the end of the dungeon. The art is fun, and the game is entertaining enough but it didn’t particularly drive me to want to finish it.
The mechanic where your weapons have a higher miss chance the bigger the die is interesting, but it’s very much more in the risk/reward category. You miss 16% of the time on a d6 but miss 20% of the time on a d8 with only 1 extra point of damage available. If that continues with the D10, then it’s a 30% miss chance with only 1 extra point of damage available. There are power ups cards that mitigate it as you go, but you definitely have to decide if something is worth that extra possible point of damage.
That said, this game can clearly scratch the game itch for you if you’re looking for something that’s got some thinking involved but not enough where you spend an hour pondering every move.
