This was a really lovely little poem/ritual! I liked how the narrative was sort of paced by the story movement. Usually, I get frustrated when the story is artificially paced, but in this case it gave each line of the poem room to breathe, and me room to think about the way the words were used and how my own perception of the poem was affected by my perceptions of the sun. The colors and textual effects and how the palette shifted with the time of day were evocative, too.
