4.5/5
A VN with a bit of a time management sim thrown in. The ties back to the earlier Halloween Otome are a nice touch and further expand the world of the two games. Unfortunately, there is a little too much set up for additional games (certain endings seem like there should be more based on the side reveals) with more then a few side characters that can leave some bits of the plot a little muddled. Some storyline choices don't make sense unless you read the information provided by the game maker which kind of ruins the immersion but otherwise the story works.
It does have some additional perks that make up for any cons (traits for completing storylines that make other playthroughs go quicker for example). The writing is well done (even having a running tally for how many words you've seen), and while there wasn't as much art as I would have liked (some recurring characters did not have images at all), there was certainly enough to make the game pleasant on the eyes.
All that said, this is definitely a game that surprised me for it being free. It's a good game that was hard to put down without finishing.
