Year-end is coming… and so are my last plugins
As I mentioned some time ago, it’s been increasingly hard to find truly original ideas for the engine. Because of its technical limitations, it’s getting more challenging to discover concepts that would genuinely interest you. Over these last two years, we’ve shipped a lot of innovative plugins, and the bar is now very high, so outdoing myself each time is tough.
What happens next?
Roadmap
We’re entering the final round of plugins: I plan to release only three more plugins and wrap up 2025 with those three plus the final minibox.
That doesn’t mean I’ll disappear or stop providing support, quite the opposite. I’ll focus on updating many of the plugins we’ve built together: adding new features and fixing issues. Since we already have a solid collection, this is a great time to care for them and expand the ones you’re already using in your projects.
We’ll talk more about this when the time comes. 🙂
Next Plugin: RandomizeNPCs
Coming very soon
Even if it might sound simple at first, I believe it will be super useful and interesting. The goal is to streamline NPC creation and give the player a more dynamic, randomized experience.
In short, this plugin lets you define NPC Categories such as:
| Category | Examples | Their Own: Names • Graphics • Dialogues |
|---|
| Men | Adult | Yes |
| Women | Adult | Yes |
| Kids | Boys, Girls | Yes |
| Animals | Dogs, Cats | Yes |
Each category has its own set of content: names, graphics, and dialogues. For instance:
Men might say
“Wow, what great weather today, perfect for the gym!”
“It’s bridge-building day for me… what a hassle…”
Women might say
“What a beautiful day! The flowers must be blooming!”
“Did you know you can buy flowers at the city’s flower shop?”
You get the idea: we’ll declare content for each NPC type, and then, with a simple event, you can make them spawn randomly. In every playthrough, names, graphics, messages, and more can change. You’ll see everything in detail in the video accompanying the plugin.
This will save you from going crazy when decorating your city with NPCs, wondering what dialogues to give them or which graphics to use. It even includes a couple of extra features you’ll surely enjoy. ^^
Thank you for your support! 💫
Thank you for continuing to trust me and for all your support. I do my best to deliver the best possible experience so you can achieve your project goals.
We’ll talk very soon!

A new idea for you: a radiant-like system ala skyrim, of course not as crazy as that one because of engine limitations
Thank you for your suggestion, I’ve never played Skyrim, but I understand it has something to do with the generation of missions and content randomly. Well, I’ll see what can be done in the future, but I can’t promise anything, haha 😅
well yes, random-ish, it was from a very large pool more than fully random, and it could repeat
Another great piece of work! This randomization feature seems like it could produce even more creative results than it appears! :D
By the way, I can't believe how much time has passed. I still love and use RPG Maker, but I'm currently working a different job. But you're always here and creating cool plugins!
Thank you, Undermax!
Thank you so much for your kind words! 💙
I'm glad you like the idea ^^
That's cool, so basically they are persistent and will stil be the same NPC each time you enter the map or reload a save? Will it be possible to tie them to common events in case we want a NPC with a certain quest/dialogue tree?
It has a built-in Common Events system :)
