What's the proper way of making a file available for free on a paid project?

Hi all,

So I have a game that is paid, but recently thought it would be nice to include its soundtrack as a downloadable file. The soundtrack is already available online for free on other sites, so I want this file to be available for download, even if someone doesn’t own the project itself.

The only option I’ve seen is to set the file as “This file is a demo and can be downloaded for free”, but this will make the file appear in the Demo section, which is misleading.

I’ve also seen the “Set a different price for this file”, but I can’t use this to set a file as free, as it has to be a price higher than that of the project itself.

Is there any way to make the soundtrack file free for everyone to download through the project’s page?

In your case I think it would be better to make a separate project page for the soundtrack. You could add more appropriate tags and all that.

I see, so there is no options to include it in the same project. I’ll see what’s the best approach based on your reply.

Thanks for the quick reply!

It is already available on different sites, would be nice if there was any option to allow this, but not sure if it introduces other issues which I’m not aware of.

At least I got my answer, that there is no way to do this on the same page as the game. I’ll think of an approach based on that.
