its already told many times that anti-virus do not work and are a scam, the only real anti-virus is Microsoft defender. Anti-virus software only allows known files to go though, anytime a new software or game is created the anti-virus program thinks its a virus because the game or software is brand new.

I downloaded DTA from another site and it works fine,it is just not the latest update. What difference is there except sites?norton has never steered me wrong!

norton does make false statements on scans:

Google found out: https://fortune.com/2016/06/29/symantec-norton-vulnerability/

Then racket911 found a easy way to break anti-software: https://www.rack911labs.com/research/exploiting-almost-every-antivirus-software/

So has you can see Norton is not safe and does not protect your computer, the scan was a lie.

Anti-virus software will often flag software as malicious, even if its not. The idea is that this is better than not flagging some actual viruses as malicious.

As a developer, even compiling a “Hello world” program would sometimes get flagged by an anti-virus. This can easily happen if a developer is not very well known (yet), or if they don’t sign the software (at least on windows).

Having said that, this doesn’t mean everything is safe, just that having the anti-virus flag a game as malicious is not evidence enough.
