Acrobee Beemote not recognized

I have the Acrobee Lite RTF kit that comes with the Beemote transmitter. I have put the Beemote into simulator mode then connected it to my PC via USB. My PC is running Windows 10 x64. I went into Devices and Printers and changed the driver to HID-Compliant  Game Controller. The transmitter now appears as "Deviation GamePad". I have gone into Game Controller settings and attempted to calibrate the transmitter.  Windows does not seem to recognize the transmitter. I have also launched FPV FreeRider and attempted to calibrate the controller in FreeRider. FreeRider does not seem to recognize that there is a transmitter connected to the PC.

I haven't tried the Acrobee controller myself. However, as it shows up as a HID compliant game controller chances are it will work fine.

Make sure you don't have any other controllers (joysticks, drawing tablets etc.) connected  at the same time, that might cause a conflict.

There was an automatic Windows 10 update that rolled out some time ago that broke the USB drivers. Not sure if you are effected but you can find more information here:

There are also some more general advice in the user manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwSDHIR7yDwSelpqMlhaSzZOa1k/view?usp=sharing

As you go though calibration in Freerider, are you able to move any of the little circles smoothly up and down?

HI! Any updates on this topic? I have a bunch of Beemotes and have students using Freerider (They love it btw) but the sticks in calibration keep being recognized as more than one, or switch, or when I move up during calibration it suddenly registers as at the bottom or back to the middle. Super odd. Did the exact driver updates you stayed above, same issues. My Taranis Transmitters and old playstation controllers work great, but these Beemotes are making me mad!

Hi, if the automatic stick detection gets it wrong during the Calibrate Controller procedure, keep an eye on the little circles above the OK button. You can manually click on the little circle that you see is the correct one for each stick (instead of clicking 'OK')

That should at least get the sticks recognized in the correct order.

However, if you get weird "jumping" of the positions, you might need to adjust the endpoints on the controllers to go from 0 to +100 (instead of (-100 to +100) similarly to what is described in the Taranis setup document, not sure if that is possible on the Beemotes.

Thanks for the reply, some awesome customer service! I did the suggestion on of selecting the circles and getting the sticks correct but I don't know of any way to adjust the ranges. I am thinking it is an issue with the Beemote more than anything. I am working with acrobee now to see if if there is a fix. Thanks again!

Thanks, I hope acrobee will be able to provide a solution to adjust the endpoints. Hopefully it can be done using some kind of config file.

(I am using the Unity input manager, and unfortunately it can only accept positive values for the stick input. Therefore the range needs to go from 0 to +100 instead of -100 to +100)
