Hello! I'm from the UK and I provided my taxpayer number (UTR) during the interview, but I still have a 30% tax withholding on my earnings.

I sent itch a ticket about this a month ago but I never heard back. Now everyone in my household is sick and we're in quarantine. We might not have a jobs at the end of this, and I really need my earnings to make rent ;-;

I can't afford a financial adviser to explain to me what to do. How do I make that % smaller?

The form is completely automated and makes a decision based on the info you provided. If you’re not seeing the percent you expect then you can try re-taking it. Double check each page to make sure it’s filled out correctly. We can’t offer professional advice about how to setup your tax situation. I recommend asking others you may know that are in a similar situation. Many people are able to find the answers to their questions with some research online, and don’t have to hire anyone to help them.
