New Features

  • Main Menu - You can now enable an experimental Main Menu for your game from the Game Configuration dialog (currently disabled by default). The Main Menu can be previewed from the UI Editor's "Main Menu" tab. From the Properties panel, you can choose from either a solid color background or a 3D map view using a saved camera position (see further below regarding the new "camera position" feature). More customization to come.
  • Free Camera - added a new toggle button to the Map Editor toolbar that will allow you to freely move the camera around the map. The controls work similarly to the standard ones while in this mode, except MMB+Drag acts a "mouse look". Some type of WASD controls will be added later on to make flying around easier.
  • Camera positions can now be saved in the Map Editor to be used in camera scripting (coming in next release), setting as the Main Menu background view, or even to just quickly navigate around large/complex maps while editing. The button is located on the Map Editor toolbar immediately after the new Free Camera button.

Changes

  • Added an animation to the back arrow on the in-game Options screen.
  • Removed texture filtering on the marker icons shown in the Map Editor's 3D view so they no longer appear blurry when close up.
  • Removed zoom limit in Map Editor to better accommodate the Free Camera.
  • Tab title for the Properties panel will now display "Map Properties", etc., based on the active editor.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed some issues related to player interaction during dialogue.

Warning! Again returns the serious error: The Game Launcher no longer works again, it closes automatically, even if it removed the Main Menu. I could with everything and it didn't work. This is serious.

Yes, after compiling with this version, it seems the game crashes at launch. I tried to change a few settings to see if it could change this but no luck so far.

Of course, I also happened to me. I think we both agree with this error.

Hey guys, sorry about that. This should be fixed now with the latest update. Thanks for the report!

Thanks, it works like a charm now :) I noticed no error during my whole playthrough. It seems the reset camera still behave the same though.

This free camera mode is fantastic! It's really useful to be able to navigate the whole map quickly and effortlessly. Before that, I had to toggle various groups on and off almost every time I wanted to change something, but now it's a real pleasure go anywhere with the mouse only :)

Great, and good to hear that the free camera mode will be useful! I'll take a look at the reset camera issue and see what is going on there.
